Holidays seem to take on a whole new meaning once you have kids and I think Easter may be becoming one of my new faves. There is so much fun stuff to do with the kids, and it helps that it falls in the time where the bleak winter is finally fading away.
We took the kids to the mall to see the Easter bunny and while Christian and Isabelle hopped right up next to him, Carson wouldn't ge any closer than he had to (which was jus close enough to get an easter egg from him). So while there was no professional photo taken this year, I managed to snap a quick one of the twins with the bunny.

Chris looks a little nervous but Isabelle is all smiles.We also colored easter eggs which didn't go quite as smoothly as last year. The egg coloring was going good until the kids realized that you could drop, crack, and peel the eggs. By then end of everything, I think we had about 6 eggs left in tact. But the kids enjoyed it and that was really the point behind it all. What do you really do with the eggs anyhow?
The six survivors- Happy to be alive!In addition to coloring eggs, they became little experts at finding them. They had an egg hunt at daycare, one at Aunt Jeni's, and then of course the easter bunny had left a few eggs behind for them to find along with their baskets. Isabelle was always the fastest at finding her eggs and usually ended up helping the boys find theirs. She even found Carson's basket for him, but he didn't seem to mind. He was too busy running around yelling "I got some candy. And another one." As it turned out, candy seemed to be the favorite part of easter all around. Even this morning when I dropped the kids off at daycare they we jumping up and down as they talked about all the candy that had gotten. It's a good thing easter is only once a year because a two week sugar high is about all I can handle (after all it is x3).
